Welcome to the Maghull Weather Site

Welcome to the Maghull Weather Site

This site is primarily for the display from my automatic weather station run by Father Barry G4HDU.

LATEST NEWS : New Weather Station installed. We have scrapped the 1-wire system because of problems of reliability and it has been replaced by an Oregon Scientific WMR200. I have now got a UV sensor instead of the lightning detector and I am currently modofying one of the temperature sensors to become a sunshine recorder. In the short term there may be discrepancies with the readings while I fine tune the software and sensors.

Yoy can see the current conditions here in Maghull by going to Current Maghull Weather

The station is based on a the Oregon Scientific WMR-200 weather station. The automatic weather station updates every 14 seconds and transfers the readings to the web server running this web site every minute. The software used for recording the weather is Weather Display and this also feeds the Weather Display Live Flash software which you can see here.

All of the sensors are monitored by the Weather Display software. This comprehensive package records current readings, performs additional calculations, produces tables and graphs of conditions and uploads them all to this web server. The weather station software is from Weather Display

Maghull Web Site

Although I created this web site as a test bed for my own use I just wondered if there was any demand for a Maghull Web Site where organisations may wish to advertise their activities or if people want to discuss what is happening in Maghull and its surrounding areas.

If there is any interest I'll open up the site for general use. Click on the Read Post comment link just above to leave your comments
